10 Months

Sophia turns 10 months on the 15th and I'm trying to keep track of the things that she is doing every month so that I can look back and remember because I know I won't recall once time passes.


She is getting more and more expressive every day and is really fun. I love to make her smile and laugh and to watch her interest in things.

I don't know why the formatting is weird on this...sorry.

New Things Sophia is Doing:

saying "doggie woof, woof, woof"

blows kisses

does sign language for: thank you and more

can point to her nose and eyes

throws her head back and forth hard when she isn't getting what she wants

eats everything off the ground

loves to chew on and play with shoes

very inconsistent with her naps but still takes 2

says "Uh-Oh"

loves to go on walks and constantly says the word "dog" while we are walking

tries to do the hand motions to the song "Itsy, Bitsy Spider"

thinks it is really funny when I blow my nose

still refuses to sleep without one arm being swaddled (lame, I know)

new favorite foods: meatballs and sweet potato pancakes

babbles a lot and points at everything

loves her stuffed animals and makes a guttural "Ahhh" sound when she sees them and gives them a big hug and a kiss

she thinks it's funny when we pray and after we say, "Amen" she smiles and yells, "Mmmm" in a growling voice

she has started to demand bites of my Costco samples
she can blink her eyes when you tell her to do so
when you show her something new she says, "Ohhh"

New Things Mommy is Doing:

taking a rest during Sophia's second nap

getting to sleep in on Sunday mornings (thanks Daddy)

being more flexible about weird napping and trying to not let it ruin my day

meeting new mommy friends

consistently taking a walk with Sophia every morning

trying to eat more vegetables and not so many cookies
