Hot Cocoa Socks

Sophia: These are my cocoa socks!

Kate: Oh! Are those the socks you drink hot cocoa in?

Sophia: No, I drink it in a cup.

Grandpa Go

Grandpa Go passed away on November 19th. He was such a loving man who always sought to look for the best in people and situations. There was never a time that I thought he didn't love me or was disappointed in me. Every time I saw him he would ask, "Who's girl are you?" Here are some pics of him and my girls. We'll miss you, Grandpa Go!

"The Restroom"

Sophia: Mom, I have to go potty.
Me: You just went potty.
Sophia: Yes, but I want to go in what they call, "The Restroom."

Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries and Library

I love how Sophia says all of these words. She sort of sounds like Forest Gump.

No Crib for No Bed

Sophia is loving playing with our manger scene this year. She hums and sings "Away in the Manger" as she plays. Her version is, "Away in the manger no crib for no bed." I don't correct her because I think it's cute. She'll figure out the real words soon enough.

The other day she wanted to watch a Jesus movie we have. She picked up Mary and Baby Jesus and said, "Mom, Mary and Baby Jesus will love this movie."

Creativity

Sophia has become very creative. Below are some examples. The first two are her creations of a toilet and seat cover. She takes her baby over to it and has her go potty and also make a door by using her shopping cart. I didn't get a picture, but at one point she had toilet paper lined on the arms of this chair and told me, "That is what you do when there isn't a seat cover." The last picture is Cinderella and her "coach." I love the way she thinks and how easy she makes it on me to play with her since she always has a plan on what I should be doing next.

Sophia Quotables

Sophia has really enjoyed singing while going potty lately. She comes up with some pretty original songs. Today her song was, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Judas is a liar and Zacchaeus is not."

Classic.

Being Cinderella

Nighties and Rain

Today Sophia played in the rain in her nightgown. I love watching her have fun. The constant drizzle all day was a fun change for us San Diegans who get constant sunshine. Sorry if that statement makes some of you sick.

Sophia's new favorite thing is for me to put a big, cozy blanket in the dryer and then snuggle up on the couch with it.

Picnic

It was a beautiful day so we had a picnic on the front lawn. I love days like these! Please excuse the constant ragamuffin hair on my child. It's hard to keep hair things in around here.

Livvy...7 Months

Livvy turned 7 months on November 1st. She has turned into the perfect second child. She is content watching Sophia and I play which makes it so nice for me to be able to spend lots of time with Sophia. Last week she started clapping and she is still trying to crawl but no success yet. She loves to be held and will just sit on my lap and play which Sophia never did. I love how she loves to snuggle. People interaction is very fun to her!

Liv is usually up between 6:30 and 7:30, naps between 9-10 and then again around 1 or 2. Bedtime is usually around 7:00. Pretty much the textbook baby. We just started doing 3 meals a day while also nursing 4-5 times a day. I'm still doing one night feeding because it just makes my life easier.

We went to the Dr. yesterday and she is 16.8 lbs. and a little over 26 inches. He said it looks like her two bottom teeth are about to pop through which is always cute!

We love our girl!

Halloween Party

We had friends over on Halloween night and took all the kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Sophia really got into it and loved having all of her friends over to our house. I thought Sophia might be scared of some of the stuff in front of people's houses, but she wasn't. She was fascinated with the bones and kept talking about how our brain is under our bones and that it's silly that the "bone guys" don't have skin on.
