Happy Napper

Sophia is a super happy girl when she wakes up from her naps...if she's not hungry. Below are some pictures and a video of her after her naps. I apparently should have done the video differently. Sorry it's sideways.

Just Because It's Cute

New Stats

Sophia had her 2 month check-up today. She is 23 inches long and weights either 11.6 lbs or 11.9 lbs... I can't remember which is correct. These stats put her in the 70th percentile. Her head circumference is in the 50th percentile. In my book, all of this means she's perfect!

Two shots were given today and she was a trooper. She screamed pretty loudly when they were given, but is now sleeping soundly and recovering from the trauma. I'm hoping she doesn't have any side effects.

More of the Same

Here are some new random pictures...mostly for grandma! She is growing fast and is so responsive. I love talking with her and having her respond. Thankfully she is somewhat independent now and will let me lay her down to play while I cook and clean.

Yesterday she grabbed her feet for the first time. So cute! I never understood why parents got so excited about silly things like their children finding their hands or saying first words. I get it now:).

Week in Review

We went to Royce and Alison's beautiful wedding. Sophia stayed with our friend, Julie, for 5 hours and did great. We missed her, though!


The wedding was at Shelter Island and the weather was perfect!

Grandma Barbie came to visit and Sophia loved her! We can't wait to have her back again in July.

Sophia is learning how to grab things and bring them to her mouth. It's so fun to watch her focus so intently on objects.

Sunday was a great day to get some rest and housework done!

Sleepy Trick

Sophia's latest trick is one that I really like. She has been sleeping anywhere from 5-7.5 hours per night and then going back to sleep for about 2 hours after that. To make it even better, she does it all in her own bed! What a lovely child!

Bath Time

Sophia has recently really started to love taking baths. They immediately calm her and she gets the cutest look on her face when I'm washing her.

First Cold

Sophia has her first cold. It is so sad to hear her cough and see her having a hard time eating. Thankfully, she is sleeping a lot. We bought a humidifier that looks like an elephant and the "smoke" comes out of its trunk. I think she'll really like it when she's older. We're hoping she gets better soon since Grandma Barbie is coming to visit on Wednesday!
