Visit from Ann

Yesterday we got a visit from my friend, Ann. Sophia was quite taken with her. I love the first picture. I also took some of Sophia checking out our tree. She especially loved holding her present from Aunt Deb. In a few days we'll know what it is!

Skinny Jeans Mind Warp

Today I was shopping with Sophia and she had on a gray dress with white flowers as well as gray tights. She got called a boy three times. I don't know when boys started wearing tights, but I do have a theory as to why she was called a boy. With boys wearing skinny jeans these days, I think people don't know who's a boy and who's a girl. No offense to you guys that wear them, but very few men can pull them off and still look like men. Just thought I'd share. It is now off my chest and I feel better.

8 Months Old

Sophia turned 8 months old today. She has such a joyful personality and we are loving watching her discover new things. Mike, Sophia and I took a walk to the park and took some pictures. The lighting was perfect!

Sophia loves to talk to her toys and I love watching her be in her own little world. Hope you enjoy it too!

That Time of Year

This past weekend was one of those perfect ones. I got 2 naps during the weekend and we got to decorate for Christmas. We found a perfect tree on the first try and got to sit in front of it and a fire, listen to music, and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows and whip cream. Indulgent, I know. Mike and I sat for an hour and a half just talking in front of the fire which is not something we've been able to do for quite some time. He sure is the best.

Great Day

Today was a great day. I got to hang out with some other mommy friends at the park on a beautiful fall day. The kids played and did a craft and Sophia loved watching all of them. I'm so thankful for other women to hang out with! Thanks, Veronica, for getting us together!

Visit From Grandpa Tom and Grandma Barbie

Sophia loved her time with Grandma Barbie and Grandpa Tom. It was so nice to have a break and get lots of naps. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Thanksgiving

My parents came for a few days and spent Thanksgiving with us. Sophia loved all the social interaction, but didn't sleep that well because she wanted to be in on all of it.

On Thanksgiving we went to Mike's Mom's house and then the day after we spent time with his Dad, Step-mom and her family. Great food and great company.
