We Made It On the Potty Train

The day after we got back from vacation I decided it was time for Sophia to learn to go potty on the potty. It took a good week to not have accidents (especially the poo-poo), but she got it like a champ.

I think the biggest part I realized about potty training is that I, the parent, must be ready. If I'm not fully committed, my kid won't be either. We tried potty training a few times before and I just wasn't ready.

I made sure Sophia wore underwear whenever we were in the house so that she could feel it when she had an accident. After doing this for a week, she was able to go out and about in a Pull-Up and not wet her pants. She also often wakes-up dry from naps and sometimes night time.

So glad to only have one kid in diapers.
