20 Months

I'm a little late on this post, but it doesn't mean Sophia hasn't been doing much. This month has been a language explosion. I can't believe how much Sophia recalls. She is my running commentary. All day long I hear about what I'm doing, what she is doing, and what anyone (or thing) she sees is doing. I'm thankful that she can communicate, but it can be quite exhausting!

One of her favorite things to do is sit down and read books that don't have pictures. She will carry around a little Gideon bible she got for Christmas and look at it for really long periods of time. I'm not sure what intrigues her, but it's a little weird.

I'm really excited that she is doing a lot of things all by herself and is eager to do so. For a while we went through a phase where I would start to do something for her and she would grab it and say, "I do it!" We have finally mastered her saying in a kind voice, "May I do it, please?" It is so much more pleasant!

Potty training is officially going to start soon. She has gone twice on the potty and likes to sit on it and read books, but not much has happened.

I'm sure there is so much more I could say, but I'm out of words and need to get rest before my little chatter box wakes-up!
