17 Months

Sophia just keeps getting more and more personality. We are loving playing with her and she is so great at adjusting to new environments as long as we're with her.

Loves: to color, climb, cook food in her kitchen, feed herself, play with her baby, be thrown-up in the air, fruit, bread, talking, playing "pretend" with her stuffed animals and dolls, trying on shoes, taking her vitamin (She always says, "Just one!")

Dislikes: showers, most vegetables and meats, when Daddy stops throwing her in the air, when kids take her toys, going to the nursery, people she doesn't know well picking her up and holding her

Things Sophia can do: count to 10 (we sometimes mess up around 7 or 8, but it's pretty good), sit and read by herself for a long time, take her shoes and socks off and put on certain shoes, associate any shoes she has seen before with the person to which they belong

Things we are working on: learning the Fruits of the Spirit, sharing our toys, saying, "No, thank you" to others instead of, "NO!", being obedient

Wake-up time: between 7-7:30

Nap time: 12/12:30

Bed Time: 7:45

Our Days

Sophia has really enjoyed doing some new things. Here are some pictures of some of them.

Coloring: She does this about 45 minutes per day and tells me the things she is drawing

Playing with her babies: Sophia brings her babies everywhere. When she puts them down she points at them and says, "Right there!" (translation = "Stay right there!") Here babies are always obedient. She also make them watch her eat her food when it's time for a meal.

This is her newest baby and it even sucks when you put the bottle in its mouth. She brought me a picture the other day of me at her baby shower and I told her that it was a picture of her baby shower. She looked at me wide eyed and opened mouth, got her baby and brought it to me and said, "Ya, shower, baby, yes!" She thought her baby was going to get to take a shower. I laughed pretty hard.

Being up in the air: She could do this all day and we are working on not being really sad when it's time to take a break from being tossed by Daddy. The whole time you throw her she giggles and says, "Uppy air!"

Bringing Mommy flowers: Daddy and Sophia went out the other night to give me a break and came back with this beautiful bunch. Very sweet!

Vacation and News

I finally am putting pictures up from our trip to Whidbey Island. We had a wonderful time with family and Sophia loved the beach and attention.

It's taken me so long to put them up because I have been quite sick from the little one inside of me. That's right, we have another one coming in April. I'm finally on the mend after getting some prescription drugs. They have made a HUGE difference and I actually feel functional.

Enjoy the pictures!
